12th Annual Raucous Auction

November 18, 2016

VABC—Charlottesville, VA

The Virginia Arts of the Book Center (VABC) will host its 12th annual Raucous Auction on November 18, 2016, featuring the culmination of a year’s collaborative work in book and printmaking. It is an evening of food, drink, and book arts appreciation with a lively atmosphere. This year’s theme, the Handmade Harvest, focuses around a collection of more than a dozen handmade books by VABC member artists. Other collaborative works to be featured include the “Tree of Life” print collection and “Speaking in Faces,” a collection of prints showcasing the largest collection of moveable type in Virginia.

The Raucous Auction is a yearly event to support the VABC. Every year, Raucous Auction helps continue the work of the VABC by providing funding for a multitude of unique initiatives. This year we hope to raise $10,000 through the Raucous Auction in order to continue our efforts in supporting Central Virginia’s artisans and youth.
